DataVare 2.0 Brings Selective Export and Mac Support to the OST to MBOX Converter Expert

Wichita, Kansas — Aug 31, 2026 — Version 2.0 of DataVare s OST to MBOX Converter Expert is now available, changing how users move Outlook data into MBOX format for clients like Thunderbird and Apple Mail. Previously, the tool converted an OST file s folders in full; the new version lets users pick specific folders, individual emails, or a date range instead, so only the needed data moves across.

A live preview pane has also been added, letting users open and check an OST file s contents inside the tool before running the conversion. This update marks the first time the OST to MBOX Converter Expert is available for Mac, alongside its existing Windows version, and the interface has been reworked with a simpler, more guided layout. Language support has expanded to 19 options as well, extending the tool s reach beyond English speaking users.

“People converting OST to MBOX are usually trying to move to a completely different mail client, and they rarely need every single folder that comes with it,” said the spokesperson at DataVare Software.
