ViceVersa Tools Launches Mailbox Pairs, a 21-Tool Category for Two Way Mail Conversion

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – Sept 2, 2026 – ViceVersa Tools launched Mailbox Pairs today, releasing 21 tools that cover every combination of seven common mail formats in a single category. Mail formats rarely talk to each other on their own. A mailbox saved as NSF doesn t open in Outlook, a PST file means nothing to Apple Mail, and switching between them has typically meant picking up a separate tool for each direction, if one even exists. Mailbox Pairs was built to change that math.

Those seven formats are EML, EMLX, MSG, MBOX, PST, NSF, and TGZ, and Mailbox Pairs connects every one of them to every other one. Here is what that looks like format by format:

• EML converts both ways with EMLX, MSG, MBOX, PST, NSF, and TGZ, covering the standard message format most clients can read alongside Apple Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, Notes, and archive packages

• EMLX converts both ways with MSG, MBOX, PST, NSF, and TGZ, giving Apple Mail s format a route into Outlook, Thunderbird style mailboxes, Notes, and TGZ archives

• MSG converts both ways with MBOX, PST, NSF, and TGZ, moving Outlook s single message format into mailbox formats and archives outside the Outlook ecosystem

• MBOX converts both ways with PST, NSF, and TGZ, linking the format used by Thunderbird and several other clients to Outlook, Notes, and archive packages

• PST converts both ways with NSF and TGZ, bridging Outlook s native mailbox format to Notes and to TGZ archives

• NSF converts both ways with TGZ, giving IBM/HCL Notes mailboxes a path into archive packages and back

• TGZ completes the set as the archive format every other format above already connects to, so nothing in the lineup is left without a path in or out

Laid out format by format, the number twenty one stops looking arbitrary. It is simply what happens when seven formats are each given a route to the other six, instead of a handful of one way streets.

What makes the category worth noticing isn t just the count, it s the reversibility built into every single tool. A user converting EML to PST for a migration isn t locked into that direction. The same license converts PST back to EML if the migration needs to be undone, or if a second workflow later calls for the opposite move. That two way design runs through the entire lineup, from the EML and EMLX converters at one end to the PST, NSF, and TGZ converters at the other.

“A lot of format conversion software solves half the problem and calls it done,” said a ViceVersa Tools spokesperson. “We wanted Mailbox Pairs to actually cover the pairs, both directions, every time, so nobody has to go looking for a second tool just because they need to go backward.”

Mailbox Pairs joins the rest of the ViceVersa Tools catalog, which also includes IMAP and Office 365 migration tools, one way exports for Thunderbird and Outlook OST, archive converters for HTML, MHTML, and PDF, a contacts category, and a small utilities set, for 98 products in total.
